About the designer: Alice Temperley is one of the most highly-respected designers in the UK, with a couture line, a bridal line and a High Street diffusion line to her name. In fact, she has become such an iconic name in British fashion that it's hard to believe she's only been in business for 16 years.
Alice Temperley grew up on her parents’ cider farm in Somerset, before moving to London to study at the world famous Royal College of Arts, and then Central St Martins. She founded Temperley London in 2000, with the aim of becoming a luxury British brand with an Art Deco aesthetic.
Following her own 20s themed wedding in 2002, she decided to move into the bridal market and a hugely successful wedding dress collection followed.
She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2011, at just 35 years of age, and she has won numerous industry awards over the years, including the ‘Award for Innovation’ from Central Saint Martin’s, and Glamour Magazine’s ‘Designer of the Year’.
About the collection: Temperley designs are instantly recognisable for their feminine lines, modern lace inserts, and contrast piping, and fans include Beyonce, Emma Watson and The Duchess of Cambridge.

In 2007, Temperley London launched its bridal line – an ethereal collection of frothy, feminine dresses which now hosts two collections each year. Her off-white gowns are hand made to order, and designed to flatter every figure without feeling stiff or restricting. Temperley’s signature layers of lace look particularly beautiful in outdoor photos, where the light can diffuse through edges, giving brides a romantic, soft-focus look.
Key looks: The beauty of a Temperley dress is in the detail; the hand-stitched applique bodice, the intricate embroidery of the skirt, or the delicate layers of razor-cut lace. Every dress is hand made in England using only the best quality silk, lace and organza, so the dress feels as good as it looks.
Our favourites include the Lilac Dress, a beautiful embroidered halterneck a line gown; the Bee Dress, a classic ivory lace layer dress which is perfect for a garden reception; the elegant Marcy Dress, which features the iconic Temperley deco embroidery; the bohemian Mirror Ball Dress, which channels the current trend for metallic, and will look stunning on any dance floor; and the pretty Bluebell Dress for feminine, fashion-conscious brides.
